Boy was Killian proud of himself yesterday when he called with super exciting news that him and Auntie Lisha found an awesome tree to climb! "I climbed the tree all by myself mommy" was the message I got on my phone yesterday! Killian is such a lucky boy to have such a wonderful Auntie to be able to take time off to spend time with him! Auntie Lisha came to town yesterday and picked Killian up early from Gayle's- they got to go to the Dairy Queen and go for a bike ride then climb trees... after the tree climbing I got another call from Alicia asking "would Brock get mad if I drove my car in the yard next to the trampoline?"... that question from my sweet, wonderful, loving cousin worried me... she is a kid at heart and those 2 conspiring together and asking me THAT question... what was up????? Finally I got it out of her after she replied "We want to jump from the car to the trampoline? they just wanted music! :) Too funny! I told her there was a radio in Killian's room and they could use that! Dilemma resolved!

Killian did wonderful at his Spring Program! He sang his little heart out. He does love his music! We were very proud if him and enjoyed every minute of it. After we got to go back to his classroom and see the new little baby chicks, the chicks that the class had been patiently waiting to hatch. "They are black" Killian said with a disappointed voice. He was still excited to show us though! Grandpa Tom and Rachael could not make it to the program so they sent Killian some balloons, when we walked in and saw how special Killian felt after receiving those... thank you so much Dad and Rachael... that was so thoughtful and Killian really appreciated it!

Killian gave me a plant and huge card he made at school, he had to answer a few questions about me. He did really well! He said I was 26, almost right on :) He wrote I work at the courthouse, again almost right on :) He wrote my favorite color is pink and I love to eat dad's grilled food! Both RIGHT ON! He wrote I like going to work and jumping on the trampoline. I do like my job and that trampoline is a blast!!! I can not explain the feeling I get when you realize how much of an influence you have on your child, he takes in so much more then I ever realized, he also wrote that if he could give me anything in the world it would be water... weird I know, but I always have a bottle of water when I am home! Just those little things that Killian sees makes me realize that he really knows his mom and pays attention to the "little things" that I thought meant nothing! Being a mom means every little thing means a LITTLE something!!

Thank you Killian for being you and making me so happy! I am so blessed this Mother's Day! You open my eyes to new adventures every day and I am a better person and Mom for it! I love every day I get to see your wonderful smile, I even love the days you don't want to smile... I love you more then here to Space Aliens!!!

My parenting skills were tested this weekend, besides Xander tumbling down our stairs... Killian got lost at the movie theater on Friday night! Killian was super duper excited to go to Spiderman 3 and he also knew he was going to get to have a sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa's Saturday, he tells us he is spoiled rotten... maybe, but we love to do it! We just remind him he is a very lucky boy with family that loves him so! It was the last few minutes of the movie and Killian had to go potty really really bad. I grabbed our things and went to the lobby, the counter for popcorn is strait across from the bathroom, I can see the bathroom from the counter- Daddy told Killian he has to bring him some yummy popcorn home from the movie- so I told Killian, "lock the door and I will be right over there to get daddy popcorn" "I told Killian I could see the bathroom from the counter." Well I went to get the popcorn and wrote out a check and all of a sudden the place fills up with everybody coming out! The movie was sold out so it was packed, I told Brice, who was working "keep my popcorn a minute, I will be right back" I pushed my way through all these people and went to the bathroom, there was a boy waiting, I asked him if the little boy in here was still here... The dreaded horrifying words "NO, he already left" CRAP! There was people everywhere, I was pushing and calling his name for what seemed like forever! I went outside to see if he was by the van not there, I was still yelling "Killian" and looking and looking... I caught at the corner of my eye Brice talking to someone very short at the counter. I ran back in, as people were coming out, there he was! Crying soooo hard, my heart broke! I knocked on the window and let him know I was coming. I got in the out door and got some dirty looks, you certainly DON'T care when you are missing your child. I got to Killian and he was crying and crying, he told me he went to go back to our seat and every one was coming out, he said he thought I left him, I assured him I would never leave him anywhere and I should have never left him at the bathroom. He did not want to let go of me and he was soooo scared. I felt awful! The movie though was the bomb! We both loved it. Me, I am a sucker for a super hero!!!!

Killian had an awesome time at Grandma and Grandpa's. He was a bit sad when we got there to pick him up as he thought he was getting 2 sleepovers cause we had put one pajama pant and shorts as well if he was too hot! Poor guy had is stay cut short. :(

Last night I was going through his folder, I found the paper he did on Friday, well you see I had jumped on the trampoline with him on Thursday and had a blast! He must have really enjoyed it as well because he did his paper about me! I took a picture of it and put it on the web site here, I just cried when I found it! He picked a vocabulary word from a book they were reading, the word he chose was LIVELY, he wrote "my mom is very lively" and on it he drew me jumping on the trampoline! How sweet!

Killian is loving soccer, he is such an athletic kid... he loves every sport he tries, so far any way. He still loves school as well and has not yet missed a single day.

Killian's new trampoline is the funnest thing ever! I even got on it for a bit! I loved it! The boyz just fly on that thing and Killian is always trying new tricks! We had a few neighborhood boyz over the Sunday we had it up, the Tate boyz (twins) across the street are about 10 years old and they had fun jumping as well. Xander was napping so Alicia and I were outside in the yard chillin' and soakin' up some rayz as we read magazines and the "older boyz" jumped on the trampoline... after 8 frozen fruit bars and 8 juice boxes later the boyz decided they wanted to go in the woods behind our yard. The Tate boyz wanted Killian to go, well I live in little Gentilly MN, you are thinking why not, as was I... kind of... I had to look at Alicia and say "he is 6?!" "Can he go out of my sight?" Jeez I had a hard time, I was thinking back and I have never let him go outside with out an adult much less let him leave my yard and be out of sight?!?!?!? Well the boyz took a small adventure in the back woods and came home very safe after about only 10 minutes... if that, I think it felt a lot longer then it actually was. I have come to the conclusion that Killian is a very responsible 6 year old and has earned our trust... we have let him play in the sandbox as we make dinner and we have let him jump on the trampoline all by himself, we tell him to stay right there so we can see him through the kitchen window and then when we ask him to come in, he comes right in! It is strange though, I have always been the type of parent the needs to keep a close eye, maybe too much at times... but oh well! I will just call it being a "responsible parent :)

Killian will I think miss dad the most this summer, Brock is such a wonderful father, always takes time for the kids, whether it is taking them to McDonald's for lunch or going for walks and bike rides before I get home from work or reading with the boyz... he is a kid at heart and I know he misses us dearly as well when he goes back to work. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and father of my boyz!!!
