Where in the world did August go! Daddy has been gone for work the last few weeks but we lucked out last Thursday when the plant had some problems so he got to come home. Killian was in the Tractor Pedal Pull last Thursday during the Ox Cart Days festivities, he pedaled as hard as he could but did not place...that was fine with him! The bees were awful and Xander was not happy to be in his stroller so I bribed Killian with Happy Joes! We left and went and had some Pizza and Pasta! Yum! Brock had to play all the games along with the boyz!

Friday dad had to go back to Mahnomen and work and stay to work Saturday so we went to stay with him Friday night, after work we drove down and Grandpa, Grandma and Gayle, Russ and Brady met us there for some supper and swimming!

Saturday we got home around 11:00am, I tried my hardest to get Killian to take a little snooze... it was not happenin' grrr... Xander took a nice nap though! We meet the clan (Grandma, Grandpa, Gayle, Russ and Brady) again, along with Tony this time at the courthouse to watch the parade! The classic cars were first and the Torchlight parade followed, it was a nice time and Daddy even made it there in the nic of time to watch the whole parade!!!

Sunday we were bums!! Stayed home all day, except for the $130 grocery run!! My fridge was EMPTY!! I try my hardest to avoid the grocery store with the 2 boyz! :)

I almost forgot, how could I not write about Killian's bike riding experience!! When he went to Auntie Erin's last Sunday she let him take Mason's bike for a spin! He had not tried to go without training wheels before, he did it!! He is so proud of himself! Thank you Auntie Erin for helping Killian with a new milestone and accomplishment!! My question is what is next?? "Mom can I drive Daddy's Harley"!?!?!?!

On another note, today is school registration, Killian will be starting Kindergarten on Wednesday Sept 6th, he will be in the morning class with Mrs. Parrish. We have orientation on Wednesday Sept 5th, we get to go with Killian and he will meet his classmates and his Teacher and see his classroom and find his locker. I told him this morning that I was going to find out who his teacher is and he got a huge smile on his face, oh my goodness I need some words of encouragement on how on earth I will get through the first few days of Kindergarten!?!?!

Killian had a BLAST with Auntie Lisha for 3 days and 3 nights!! He got to do so many fun things. Auntie Lisha came to get Killian on Wednesday after work, he got to stay up late and watch movies the first night, Thursday they got up and went to Space Aliens for lunch and swimming after that and to Over the Hedge that evening! A movie I really wanted to see! The next day they tried to go swimming at the outdoor pool but the darn rain stomped out those plans :( so instead they went to the movie Killian has been DYING to SEE, Monster House! Needless to say he loved it, which was the 4th movie he had seen that week!! They went to Chucky Cheese for supper and Killian got to go for a bike ride then evening (yes he had to bring his bike to Auntie's house) Saturday they went to Great Aunt Judy's in Hawley and they grilled out and Killian got to go swimming again in the backyard neighbor's pool! WOW, what a busy few days and might I say what a LUCKY, LUCKY BOY to have such a wonderful, fabulous, spectacular, loving, caring and thoughtful Auntie to take Killian to do so many fun things!

It is Auntie Lisha's birthday today!! Happy Birthday, we all love you sooo much and we hope you have a SUPER day!!! What will we ever do when you go and have a family of your own!?! :) As long as you don't move away all will be fine!! I just want to say a BIG HUGE THANK YOU for the few days you took Killian, he absolutely LOVED it!!

Alicia called me on her way home on Wednesday to tell me something Killian had said, Killian had asked her to turn the radio down so they could talk, this is odd as Killian loves to listen to the music?? Alicia asked him what he was thinking and he replied "about what song I am going to sing when I am a ROCKSTAR". Oh my, did I laugh when she told me that! That is hilarious, that kid thinks and says the darndest things!!

Killian had a busy couple days over the weekend. On Friday Killian and I and Sunny, Shana, CJ and Matt went to Grand Forks to the movie Barnyard, it was cute and funny-then we went to Red Lobster for Supper, maybe not the best choice for 2 youngsters at 9:00 at night :)

Saturday, Jenny Haller came over to give Sunny and I pedicures (my feet are sooo happy) so Killian, Eden and Austin got to go swimming with dad's supervision :) Dad got to go play pool for the evening with Lars, 36 games!! Sunday Auntie Erin called and asked if Killian would like to go to McDonald's and go to the movie Ant Bully with her and Mason. So Killian went to another movie, what a lucky boy!! Now this week Auntie Lisha is taking him from Wednesday evening to Saturday, she plans to go swimming and to another movie and to Chucky Cheese...boy will he have another busy week! Lucky to have such loving Aunties!!

On the flip side, Killian has been one little crabby, moody boy lately!! Testing every last miniscule ounce of patience I have...I don't know what it is??? He has been so defiant!! We count, we spank, we give him time outs, we take toys away, we "talk", he tells daddy it is because he is never home and he misses him...It is so hard to understand a 5 year old that just won't tell you what he is thinking, he may not even know?!? Him and I "but" heads somethin' fierce some days and I question my parenting all the time, why is there not a book on this stuff? Was I like that when I was little? Did my mom try to drop me off on the side of a gravel road? Yes I confess I tried on Sunday but that darn Killian kept getting back in... :) KIDS!?!?!

It has been a while since I have added?? The days go by so fast. Last Friday Killian and I had a day together, part of the day any way. He had an appt with his Dr in Grand Forks, we addressed his bed wetting...nothing serious, he just has nocturnal somethin' or other, he should out grow it, we have tried everything from putting a potty in his room and even waking him up at night and nothing seems to really work. His nerve or some sensation that tells your brain to wake up to go to the bathroom, his has just not developed all the way yet. For now we will continue with the good nights. (pull ups for bigger boys) I can tell it bothers him if some one other them mom and dad see him in one so I hoping as he gets older it will stop. The Dr said it always runs in the family and the kids are usually heavy sleepers, Killian sleeps like a ROCK! The Dr also told Killian "it is not your fault, you can't help it and if anyone says anything you can tell them your Doc had the same problem and so did your doc's daughter" Killian just smiled and said "OK". I just love Dr Lunn, I have been so impressed with this pediatrician since Killian was born! He has always taken the time to talk and listen and he always asks if we have questions.

After Killian's appt we went to Wal-Mart, I was thinkin' I was a glutton for punishment cause when ever we go there Killian goes with daddy to look at toys, this time no daddy and I was not up to toy shoppin' before I had to go back to work! He was really good, as good as a 5 and a half can be :) He of course did get a toy, I am such a sucker! We left and he saw Red Lobster, "mom can we go have shrimp"? A kid after my own heart! We sat and colored and ate, he loves those biscuits they have! We then got Cold Stone on the way home-spoiled little stinker!

We had a low key weekend, boy did it get HOT! My van's temp said 110 at one point in Fargo. We went to Space Aliens on Sunday evening, picked up Alicia at home and went for supper and games! Killian made a haul with tickets.

We made a quick road trip to Mahnomen last night to bring dad some clothes so he could stay there for a night or 2 for work! It went good, the boyz got to watch a movie and sat good for the whole ride.

Today Killian was excited for his party in Kaleidoscope, they were watching a movie and having popcorn! Tomorrow is the last day :(
Tomorrow is also the last day of T-Ball- Sunny promised him ice cream after! Did I say spoiled stinker? :)
