Can you believe this?!? Killian loves my Johnny Cash greatest hits CD!! He actually asks to hear it when we get in the van and he sings to a lot of the songs, his favorite is the Folsom Prison song. He does ask a lot of questions though..."mom, what does torture mean" "mom, what is prison" "mom, what is the dirtiest job" (Get Rhythm, the shoe shiner song) "mom, why does he only wear black" "mom, why did he name his son Sue"? I tell you what question after question, typical 5 year old when it comes to that! Oh, and he loves the song, I've been everywhere man...The fact that he likes Johnny Cash makes me think he will always like all kinds of music! I am so happy he has such an open mind when it comes to music!! From Baby Got Back and the Coconut song to Johnny Cash and Toby Keith and yes even Dad's crazy heavy music especially System of a Down, he loves it all!!

Killian is the most patient fisherman on the planet! He may just be a pro when he grows up! He was so happy just to fish for hours and hours, whether he was on the steps off shore or on the boat he loved it! He even caught a bass on the boat. I am sure all Grandpa's will love to hear that! My little man did surprise us though...he was not too fond of the lake AT ALL!!! He was scared?!? This little guy who is a daredevil in the pool and loves the water...part fish??? He spent most of his time in the water screaming cause Brock wanted him to swim with him...Killian hated the seaweed and the sand and not knowing how deep it was because he could not see the bottom...he just did not like it and Brock chalks it up to his job, he thinks I have made my boyz wimps because he is not home, so he is quitting his job to have a Daddy Daycare!! Whatever!!! He is back at work this week!

Killian was so pooped out on Saturday he actually told us he was tired so I brought him to the camper and he was out in 5 minutes! All the kids were sleeping so the girls against the boyz in smear was the plan!! Girls won!!! Not by a little either, it was so much fun, we have not played cards in years!! Good to know I've still got it!

Killian was telling Sunny that he is going to a wedding soon and at the last wedding every one loved him and danced around him and clapped and cheered. Needless to say Killian will be wearing his dancin' shoes on Saturday at Robin's wedding!!!

I forgot to mention in the last entry, if you did not know I am a FIRM believer in bringing your camera with at ALL times!! Good thing, other wise we would have never been able to go to the fair!!! Can't go with out the CAMERA!

One more thing, when Killian did the bungee jumping on the trampoline he jumped so high he scared him self...we heard a scream when he was way up in the air! He still loved it, what a thrill seeker...

Wow, what a week! I have been meaning to update
all week and have not had the chance. We went to
the Fair in Fargo last Saturday.

Brock let me sleep in on Saturday morning and around 9:30 Killian came running upstairs and said "mom, mom, dad said if you get up we can go to Fargo and go to Space Aliens"!! I was surprised because Brock hates going to Fargo, probably cause I love it :) so we all got up and going about 2 hours later...we took a long way and road tripped through Fertile and the boyz watched movies in the van. When I say the boyz I mean all 3 of them, Killian wanted dad to sit in the back with him, NEVER AGAIN! Killian and dad could not keep their hands off each other, they drove me CRAZY the whole way there, mom, mom, mom was all I heard! Grrrr... Anywho we got to Fargo and Brock wanted to go to the Harley store and dream for a little while so we did, then off to SPACE ALIENS for some late lunch, it just so happened that Auntie Lisha was between shifts so she could meet us there... we ate and played a ton of games, Brock even won the jack pot and got Killian 400 tickets! We left there and went to the mall, Xander, Killian and I waited in the van and watched Madagascar while Brock shopped for some work boots, which he did not buy. We went to wash the van and then we were off for home and Brock whispered to me, "the Fair is in town, should we check it out"? Sure, why not...we got close and Killian saw all the rides and about jumped out of his seat!! We saw 3$ parking and went on in! Killian went non stop from 6pm to 11pm, we did get him to take a break for a corndog though. He
was so happy and excited to be there, it was so fun just watching him go on all the rides. I was
a tad emotional, he was such a BIG boy, going on all those rides all by him self, I would ask "can he go on this ride alone"? the people would look at me like I was crazy when they asked how old he was and I said 5... He is still
little to me! Xander was quite the trooper sitting in his stroller ALL night long, he just watched every thing and every body around us. I
was telling Brock how it just makes your heart feel all warm and fuzzy seeing your child so happy and having so much fun! We made it home at
around 1 am, I stayed awake to get us home as Brock was snoring somethin' fierce! We were all
pooped and slept till almost 10 on Sun! That never happens at MY house!

We had a nice Father's Day, the weather was just the way I like it, cool!!! We went to Forks and had some lunch and came home and lounged for a little while and did a little visiting... Killian asked if we were going back to the fair, I told him no and he said "I just can't stop thinking about it", he is too funny!

Last night Killian I went to CARS!! We just happened to see Gayle and Brady and sat by them.
The movie was AWESOME! I asked Killian what his favorite part was as I always do and he said "Ok, I will pick just one part...the whole movie"! That goof! He loved it, he sat the best he ever has at a movie... The movie was too cute and everyone should go to see it. The preview showed some cute new movies coming out for kids, Open Season and some Ant movie, Killian gave them both thumbs up!! (Yep, if you read that Becca R I got that from you... :)

Killian made me laugh last night, he will probably have a fit if he knew I told any one this but it is too funny not to share! He has been trying really hard to wipe him self after going to the bathroom, and he has been doing really well! He had a busy day yesterday with Kaleidoscope and playing at Gayle's and napping, you see he sweats so much when he sleeps... when we got to the China Moon last night he did not want to sit down because he said his butt hurt, I asked if he had not wiped quite good enough and said we could go in the bathroom and I would help him using a wipe... he said OK! When we were on our way out I asked if that was better, he said yes..Mom, I think I know what's causing the problem...I sweat too much. I never heard such a thing come out of a 5 year old's mouth in my life! "I think I know what's causing the problem"!! Too funny, I had to tell Michelle right away and she laughed!! Kids do say the darndest things! Especially mine!

Ok, I know now that I am rubbing off on my child,
and I love it! If you know me well and most of you do! You know that I really have issues on how my children are dressed, Brock has finally come to the realization that if he picks out clothes they will probably not be "good enough for me" and I go find something else. Killian is picking up on this quite well, you know- the fact that I pick the clothes and I want everyone to look good! Brock was wearing some old work clothes on Saturday and Killian wanted to go for a bike ride, Brock told Killian to go and get something to wear. Killian grabbed yellow Spiderman pants and a dark purple Viking jersey..
I did not care, he was just going for a bike ride in GENTILLY, The funny part was Killian told dad to "go and get dressed" and dad said "I am" Killian looked at me and said "mom, can dad wear that"? I laughed so hard- Killian asking ME if Brock could wear those clothes, I will confess I usually pull clothes out for Brock as well, but that was funny!

On another clothes note...I like Killian to look nice for Kaleidoscope, he can wear nice clothes Monday's and Wednesday's but on Tuesday's and Thursday's he wears his T-Ball clothes. He walked in to the classroom the other morning and said "hi" to the first girl sitting there and then asked "do you like my shirt"? I had a little chuckle! You see Killian and I have had "THE" conversation, the important one! I explained to him that he will always wear what I want him to. He will not have the option to CHOOSE something else EVER!! Unless I give him 2 choices! I know it may seem harsh, but trust me he does have a mind of his own and if he ever sees me getting soft or giving in just once he may think he can wear what ever he wants! :) tee hee... I have seen what happens when kids don't want to wear what you buy them! Michelle gets very frustrated with her daughter Sam some mornings because she ABSOLUTELY will NOT wear what Michelle has picked out for her, and Sam wants to wear something CRAZY!?! What can you do but nic it in the butt early, really early... :)

Killian could possibly be a fish! Maybe in another life?!? He had a blast last weekend when we went to the Thief River Falls Water Park and Casino. It was Kayla's 5th birthday party.
He was jumping and swimming and running in the water non stop. If I had the energy that boy had I am sure I would be 40 lbs like him!! He was awesome the whole time, he listened so well and you could tell he was just so happy to be there. We kept it a secret from him till we pulled up to the building, when he finally figured out where we were he yelled "Oh my gosh, you guys are the best mom and dad, thank you, thank you, thank you, I love you from here to Fargo" (a little thing we say to show how much we love each other, I usually win by saying I love you to infinity!!)

Killian has started Kaleidoscope and T-Ball this week. He is a busy boy! Kaleidoscope is for 3 year olds -kindergarten children, they play games, do arts and crafts have story time and they get to play on the playground. He goes Monday-Thursday from 10:15-noon and he loves it!
He went last year as well, when I brought him in the school on Monday for his first day he walked in and the girls (teachers Killian calls them) all said "HI KILLIAN WE ARE SO HAPPY YOUR BACK" it made me feel so good that they remembered him and you could see how excited Killian was that they remembered him. It is run by a few high school kids and Killian just loves to spend time with them.

T-Ball is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-10, so we run from one to the other twice a week, but that is ok as Killian loves it! He did awesome at the first T-ball practice. I think he is the shortest kid there...I wonder where he gets that from :) One thing though, I took a little vacation to be able to watch him on his first day and I lost my keys!! Boy was I crabby, we searched and searched...some boy finally found them lying in the ground and I got Killian to Kaleidoscope 20 minutes late!

Killian and I went to the movie last night with Sunny and Dave and Sunny's sister Shana. The movie X-MEN was "AWESOME" as Killian kept saying!
When a good part of the movie would be on he would look at me and say "wow that was really awesome". He had a good time and felt really special getting to go with adults. He was holding his little tray of popcorn and a part of the movie came on that made me jump, and him a little...he looked at me and said "mom, when I went to King Kong and got scared my candy fell all over the floor, maybe you should hold my popcorn for a while" I laughed!! Partly because I am a very jumpy person- Sunny and her sister can concur as they laughed at me several times through out the movie!! Killian had a good time but got mad at me once when I tried to cover his eyes during one part! He has to watch the whole movie over again cause he missed that one part- even though he missed more time then that running to the biffy- but I am not complaining, he ONLY went TWICE!! I think that is a record!

I suppose I would not be truthful if I rose colored everything :) Killian is lucky he even got to go to the movie! When he found out he was going he turned CRAZY! He gets so excited and hyper, you know like the I want to tie you up and duct tape you quiet hyper... we went to McDonald's for supper with Sunny, Ethan (17 months) Shana, Lila, (15 months) CJ, (3) and Keith (15) Xander, Killian and I...He ate really good but boy was he wired!!!! Any who all was good and we went home after the movie and the boyz got a bath and went right to bed!
Dad stayed in Roseau last night, we hope to see him tonight as Killian was telling me yesterday he really missed daddy.
