Where has October gone!? We have been so busy that I have not gotten a chance to update. 2 weekends ago we went to Fargo for the night. We went and did some shopping and went to Space Aliens for supper. Brock had to work so I decided why stick around...off to Fargo! We had a good time but the fact still remains that Killian HATES to shop and he lets you know it!! He was great at Space Aliens but not at Burlington Coat Factory! He just wants to play! Typical 5 year old...I know! We made it though the weekend anyway so that was good!
This past weekend he got to have sleepovers as he calls them. I left for my annual Croptoberfest weekend, we left on a Thursday so Gayle kept the boyz Thursday night to Friday and then they got to stay at Grandma and Grandpa "K"s for the weekend because dad was working! They had a good time with Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Tony!
Killian and I went to a volleyball game in Fertile last night. Sunny is the coach for the Red Lake Falls Varsity team, it was the last game so we thought we would go and see what kind of coach Sunny is :) We had a good time and Killian enjoyed it! He loves watching any sports...especially with cute girls playing!! The girls lost in 3 games :(Comments:Add a comment:

We had a busy busy weekend! Dad had to work again so Killian Xander and I got ready for soccer on Saturday morning, Xander played at the park with Grandpa and Uncle Tony and Auntie Erin as Killian played soccer. After we all, Grandma and Grandpa "K" and Uncle Tony and Brady, Killian, Xander and I all went to the Open House at the Fire Hall. Killian got to go up in the bucket with Xander and Uncle Tony-they were so high!! We went inside and Killian got to try on all the fire equipment, from head to toe he was decked out in boots and pants, the coat and helmet and even the heavy oxygen tank! The boyz got to hold the hose as they sprayed a little house with water! They got to check out all the fire trucks and even a boat! It was so much fun! Grandma put all of our names in for door prizes and then we watched a stove fire and all left for some lunch at RBJ's! The boyz were so good at lunch, as long as they both had cars to play with all was good! Xander was so pooped he fell asleep before we got home, I could tell Killian was tired also, he sat and watched a Scooby Doo movie while I cleaned a bit! The phone rang a few times and it was Auntie Lisha, she was planning to come and visit...the next time the phone rang I let Killian answer, he talked for a little bit, then he looked at me with the biggest eyes and smile "MOM, I WON A DOOR PRIZE FROM THE FIRE HALL"!!! He was so excited! I took the phone and the guy was laughing at Killian, "he sounds excited" he said, Killian won a 12 pack of pop and a gift certificate from Subway! He called Grandma right away to tell her he won! He then had to call Daddy and tell him as well! By the time 8 o'clock hit on Saturday Killian was shot from the day, I read him some of his book and he was out. Brock got home just in time for Alicia and I to get to Forks for the movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the beginning... let's just say it is everything you expect in a gory horror film, once I jumped so high my arms went flying and I knocked my glasses right off my face...I guess I mad a few noises as well and could not stop giggling, I think the girls behind me were laughing at me?!?! :)
Today was the "BIG DAY" for me, I had Killian's first Parent/Teacher conference...I was a little nervous, I had a feeling it would go well but you always worry that you could be told your child is not doing well or not getting along with others in class or being naughty and not listening, I don't know if it is the way to think but I feel that at this age how they act reflects on us the parents and how we parent?? I don't know though, when he is good and happy I am so proud of him and want to feel like I had a part in that, but when he is naughty and not listening....I do not want to take any responsibility for that? I guess as the parent I have to though...Who'd a thunk parenting would be the hardest thing you ever do in your life?!? Sometimes you just don't know how to discipline or what will work, I guess I can just hope that what we are doing with the boyz is working and to love them and spend all the time with them we can...any advice would be welcome :)
Any way, I did not actually say how it went...GREAT! Mrs. Parrish said he comes to class excited everyday, he is such a happy smiley kid, and he always has a smile on his face. She loves having him in class! She also said he is writing his name really really well!! He is not writing any of the letters backward, a lot of children do that...needless to say I left feeling so relieved and ecstatic that he is doing so well, she looked at me and said "you can tell Killian that Mrs. Parrish said he is doing really well" she continued to tell me a story of Killian wanting a certain book from the book fair that was going on today, they went to check out the book fair last week and Killian thought he was going to pick out a book to take home! He was disappointed when she told them they were just looking. I found that book, "the Pirates of the Caribbean" and got it for him, I think he will be excited to get it! Of course I also had to call him right when I got out of the school and tell him Mrs. Parrish said he was doing very well! "Oh my gosh'! Killian said, "that's so awesome"!! I guess I am just so proud of him today...can you tell?

Killian raked half the day at Gayle's on Friday so all weekend he wanted to rake! We finally did on Sunday. He found every way to run and jump in that pile! He had so much fun!
Killian was a good helper in the living room as well! We made an AWESOME team and got that floor done! I would take the flooring out of the box and give it to Killian, he would then give it to Brock to put in and pound in just right, Killian would be at the end telling Brock if it was in, when we would get to the end Brock would measure to see what size we needed, he would whisper it to Killian and Killian would tell me, then I would take a piece out to the saw and cut it to size! It was so much fun and Brock really appreciated the help! Now we all appreciate the living room!!!!
We did have carpet to go in half the room but changed our minds when we saw the carpet next to the flooring. We just really like the wood type flooring better, I know I will miss my carpet but yesterday REASON #33 NOT to have bran new carpet with a 5 year old and a 1 year old!! I was in the kitchen when Killian ran to me and said "COME NOW" and he pulled on me, something her NEVER does? I was thinking oh s&*t...I come in and the plant that was on the entertainment center recently watered was on the floor, dirt all over! Killian said "Xander did it", I did not think anything of it as I told Killian to keep his brother out of the dirt! Killian must have felt guilty for fibbing because I came back in with the broom and he said "I did it", I asked how and he told me he was shaking the center with his feet, something I am CONSTANTLY asking him to QUIT doing! He said he will never do it again :) I found my self thinking, man that was easy to clean up...if that was new carpet I would have cried!!!
I received a letter yesterday from Killian's teacher, a time 10:20am and date Monday Oct 9th- his first Parent/Teacher Conference! My god I can't believe this!?! I am so excited to hear what the teacher has to say about Killian!!!Comments:Add a comment:
